We had a great Christmas this year. We got to spend a lot of time with family and most importantly we had a lot of relaxation time. I was able to get the last 2 week of December off this year and so we made the best of it. We started out our trip by going to Boise to have a family party with Adam's side of the family. The weather was a challenge though. The road conditions were horrible so we just took it slow. We spent 3 days hanging out and catching up with everyone. Then of course the kids traded gifts with each other. The twins ended up with the boy version of the Easy Bake Oven. Lets just say we now have an abundance of rubber bugs that the boys got to create with their new bug oven. I thought it was pretty cool but the smell was not as appitizing as a warm cookie. There's nothing like the smell of burnt rubber to hang in the air for hours. The boys loved it.
Then we headed out for the other side of the state of Idaho. The 4 1/2 hour drive turned into about 6 1/2 hours because again the roads were still horrible. I don't think I have ever seen an Interstate Highway with so many cars and semi trucks off the road in the gutter. Between the wind blowing literally 100 mph and the black ice I couldn't sleep a wink. Usually when I get in the passenger seat of the car my eyes automaticlly shut but there was no way that was happening this time. I was a nervous wreck. We finally made it to my parents house and that's were we stayed until after Christmas. It was a good thing that we weren't going back home because the road was closed anyway. All the boys got to play on the snowmobile and turn into popsicles. Ash and Thomas came up and stayed several days and had a great time too. By the time we had to head for home since Adam had to go back to work the roads weren't too bad. We made it home safe and sound and in good time. The boys and I still had another week until we had to get back to reality so we took advantage and had as much fun as possible.

Where's my Blankie???
OK I couldn't resist. Mason was helping me do the laundry the other day and he spotted his favorite blanketin the dryer and of course he wanted it right now even though it was sopping wet. I couldn't keep him out of the dryer until he had it all the way out. Of course he had a melt down when I had to put it back in to make sure it was dry for bedtime.. He is quite a determined little guy!!!

Skating with Santa
This is the 2nd year that we were able to go Skating with Santa and again Adam was out of town on business he was pretty bummed about that. Grandpa got to come and babysit so I could go to work the rest of the week. Thank goodness for Grandpa!!! The boys caught on really quick. It only took them about 10 min to get the hang of it then they were zipping around the rink like pros. It was so cold and it was snowing really hard but all in all we had a great time. Mason was too funny when he sat on Santa's lap. He couldn't stop staring at his white beard. If he wouldn't have had his mittens on I think Santa would have lost his beard.

Thanksgiving
We had a great Thanksgiving this year with one very big surprise. My niece and nephew called my parents the day they were leaving to come to our house and wanted to know if they they were doing for the holiday. When my Mom told them where they were going they were kinda disappointed until my Mom ask if they wanted to come too. They were both so surprised and excited to come. I think this was one of the best Thanksgivings we have had.
Grandpa and the kids got a kick out of watching a movie in 3-D after dinner.... I am so glad they came!!!!

Mason's First Hair Cut.
Mason's hair in the back was really getting long so it was time for a haircut. He was so cute. I we both sat down on the bathroom floor and I took the clippers to him. He thought the buzzing was pretty funny. Since Adam had rubbed all of his hair out on top when he was really little in the shower we only had to trim up the back so he didn't look like a little girl. We even saved the hand full of hair for his baby book. Now he looks like a little man.

Halloween 2008
This year was kind of low key for us. We carved a couple of pumpkins and went to the Trunk R Treat. We also went to the Boo at the Zoo with Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Gary. It was such a nice day and it was so crowded at the zoo. The boys had fun seeing the animals and just spending time with G & G. Kegan was Darth Vader, Kaleb was Iron Man, and Mason was a little Bat. Mason really got into flapping his arms to see his wings move. He couldn't quite figure out what was attached to his arms.
