What I was doing 10 years ago?
I had just moved home from Maryland and was living with my parents. I had a job waiting for me at a restaurant that I had worked at before I had moved to Maryland 2 years earlier. Later that year I moved to Vancouver, WA to attend school and to get away from my frustrating life with boys. When I moved I had no intentions on dating. I was determined to focus on school. Well the first weekend after I move to WA I met Adam. We met at a dive of a dance club in Portland. We were all standing outside waiting in line to get in when I saw him. He had a T-shirt on for the NCAA Final four basketball tournament. The first thing I thought was WoW he must play awesome Basketball. Well we all made it into the club and my roommates and I were all just dancing and having a good time when he came up to me and asked me to dance. Why not right??? The song ended and I said well we are leaving and he piped up and said "This is a bad neighborhood, would you let my roommates and I walk you to your car." He asked me for my number and believe it or not he called me that night. We talked all night long and right then I knew he was the one. So I finished school as we dated and I told him that I really liked him but I am moving to Utah for a new job. He moved to SLC about 6 months later and we were married in September of 1998. That's right our 10 year anniversary is this year...hint...hint....Adam. 1998 was a good year for me.
5 things on my "to-do" list today...
1. Get up and get the kids to school. Oh ya and remember to feed them.
2. Put the laundry away...Ya that never happened...

3 Bad habits...

2. This one is gross but I am a scab picker and zit popper...
3. Never dusting until I see the kids have written their name on the TV or the entry way table.
If I were suddenly a billionaire I would...
1. travel, travel, travel but I would buy a ticket so I wouldn't have to worry if I'm going to get
on the plane.
2. Hire a maid to clean my mansion and fold the laundry.
3. Put plumbing in our family cabin so that I don't have to trapes through the snow to the outhouse to sit on a frozen seat in the middle of the night and so my Mom would enjoy going to the cabin.
4. Buy a house closer to family since I wouldn't have to work anymore.
5. Buy my husband a rusted out broke down 1967 Mustang so he can tinker around and fix it up like new.

I'm gonna get it!!!
We went to Carson's birthday party last Saturday. The boy had a blast. We went to a play place in West Jordan on Redwood Road and about 80th south. They had a bunch of the blow up toys that they went crazy on. The twin's have their Bday coming up and I honestly can't believe they are going to be 7 years old. It seem like yesterday they were Mason's age.

Ok! Ok! I think that I will have to try reading it again!!!

On my previous post Erin you asked why I had a metal fork in my purse. Well at my office they have decided to replace the old spoon and fork with sporks and I can't stand them. I can understand that it is saving money for the company but I can't stand trying to eat a salad with a spork. So that is why I have a fork in my purse. I found this family tree on the spork and thought it was funny...
I have to really thank Aleesha for the tip on The Skinny Cow icecream. Since I have really started watching what I am eating the icecream has been one of the hardest to give up. I found the icecream sandwiches at Sam's Club the other day and fell in love. They also had the fudge bars too. Posted by The Zick's at 10:04 PM 2 comments

My so called Purse...
I got Purse tagged and I am quite embarrassed to show everyone what is in the black hole I call by purse. Most of the time I just take my wallet out of my bag and put it in the diaper bag but I do take my bag to work with me why I don't know because usually the only thing I take out is my headphones when I gets really slow at work I just watch TV on the internet to stay awake. Wallet, Cell Phone, Tums, Fork, 2 Bottles of Lotion Clorox Wipes, Bills, Broken Sunglasses, Proten Bar, Receipts, Calender, Headphones, Pen, Glue Dots, and a Book that I have had in there for months that I have only read the first 5 pages in. I always have good intentions to read at work but I just can't seem to keep my eyes open so I have to start the paragraph over again. That's where the headphones come in handy.

Tell Me Where To Find Some Fun Activities
As I have been reading around the blogs tonight I got an idea. I know that I am not the most exciting person in the world and most of the time Adam and I just stay home instead of going out finding fun things to do with the kids. So, I need some ideas. Where are some of your favorite places to take your kids.
Erin mention ed that they went to Crystal Hotsprings and that sounded like a lot of fun.
I have to admit that in the 10 years that we have lived here I still feel like I don't know where anything is except for the basics.

It's my Weekend now!!!
Can I just say that I am really sick of this weather. I guess at least if I have to drive in it there isn't a whole lot of traffic. I am going to catch up on my blog later today after I get up. I have to say though I have really enjoyed getting to know all of you through our blogs so keep it up!!!

Long Day!!!
So I am getting ready to make the long drive home in the middle of the night. I get to drive down the road with the window down and the radio blasting. The days that I have to go to work just go by so fast. I can't ever seem to keep up. So this is short and sweet and this will still count as blogging everyday since I still have not gone to bed.

Movie Night
Yesterday I told Adam that I wanted to go the a movie so since it was my Birthday I got to pick the show. So I chose ......
We both really liked it. For me, it is a keeper. I am a big Matthew McConaughey fan. I don't think that I have seen any of his movies that I didn't like.
Since I am doing a 14 day blog challenge to pass the time for one of my good friends till she has her baby, tell me what your all time favorite movie is. I will start it off. My all time favorite is....

I am a real sucker when it comes to a good romance. I think I have cried through most of the movie every time I have seen it. I even read the book and for those of you that know me that is a big accomplishment because I really don't enjoy reading novels, but I will say that I do like pretty much anything that Nicholas Sparks writes.

Lazy Day....
Today has just been a lazy day. I have spent most of the morning playing with my blog site and Adam and the boys have been playing video games, well Adam has been playing and the boys have been watching. It is still just trial and error and mostly error as I have been trying to change my background. I lost all of my Friends links and all of my pix on the side. I have gotten all my friends back now but what a pain. All and all I think that I am doing pretty good considering I am kind of an internet idiot.
Mason is starting to really like eating food now. At first he wouldn't even open his mouth. When he saw the spoon coming he would press his lips together so tight that I couldn't even force the spoon in without making a hug mess. I have really forgotten how much fun it is to see all of the first's as the kids are growing up. It was just kind of a blurrr with the twins.

The Mix Up...
Last summer when the kids were out of school I learned really quick that each day brought new meaning to Shock and Aww. Well last Sunday Adam got a tast of what I really ment. At church when Adam and I were walking into the chaple our former Bishop came up to me and shook my hand and told Adam and I that we needed to have a family meeting to discuss that he was NOT dead....As Kegan was going to primary he saw Bishop Patrick and his eyes got as big as baseballs and he says, "You"re not Dead!" Bishop Patrick just laughed and laughed. He thought it was so cute. A couple of days before church I had told the boys that Pres. Hinkley had passed away. Well Kegan eveidently got the two mixed up. When I talked to him about it he tells me " They look a like" When we got home I had to show him a picture and then it dawned on him who it was that really passed away. I can always count on the boys to make us laugh.
