Help Jonah

Hi everyone. I am putting this link on my blog to hopefully get some good exposure.

http://taylorsvillebiggive.blogspot.com

My really good friend Jessica whom I have known for about 10 years is in need of some help. Her son Jonah is a very special boy who has a couple of very RARE blood disorders that is really taking a tole on the family. Jessica is an amazing person. She would do anything for anyone in need. She is always putting someone else first no matter if it a family member, friend or just a stranger in need. I think it is about time that we put her and her family first for a bit, so I am coming to you to help spread the word. If you could place her blog link on your blogs I think we could get unimaginable results. I want to thank all you in advance for your support!!!!!

A Day at the Park

Ok I have been a Slacker!!!!

Well it has been a while since I have updated so I guess keep your hands and feet in the ride at all times!!!!

I just can't believe that March is gone. St. Patricks day came and went then the Easter Bunny stopped for a visit but he didn't mind that we didn't decorate for the occasion. I actually still have my Valentine's decor sprucing up the joint. I tried to get in to the mood for spring cleaning and I managed to get both bathrooms cleaned from top to bottom but I have just lost the spark. It really doesn't help that it is still snowing outside right now. Adam has been chompping at the bit to get the lawn thatched and ready for summer. We did get all the flower beads and my strawberry patch cleaned up I just really wish the sun would come out and let my flowers come out of shock.

Mason is really starting to get around. The other day Adam was teasing him and so I had to grab the camera and catch a few pix of him crawling around.

The Easter Bunny made a stop at the house and I think the kids were pretty excited. Kegan was the first one up that morning and Adam and I could hear him gasp and then run in and wake up Kaleb. They were both so excited..

Our HOA put on a great Easter egg hunt there were tons of kids!!! I really didn't realize how many new families have moved into the neighborhood. I hope that the HOA continues this tradition every year!!!.

It was pretty chilly and the wind was blowing pretty good as it always does, but kids has a great time!!! Just a week before the Easter egg hunt I wasn't sure if the snow would even be gone. The boys were having fun with their new sleds that Grandpa and Grandma Zick sent them from Oregon. We had looked everywhere for new sleds here but to to avail so we got them in the mail and just had to try them out.

Grandma Bonnie came down for a few days during Spring Break and we all had a great time. We took a to boys to the park and let them play for a while. It was nice to get out for a walk. Before we got to the park we stopped by our new neighbors house and let the boys play with thier golden retriever puppies. They are so cute. When they tried to talk us into getting one for the boys I promptly said that is why we do not have a fence. I really like the idea of just letting the boys go and play with the pups and that way I don't have to feed and clean up after them. I have a hard enough time keeping the kids fed and cleaned up. I have to admit though they are really cute!!!!

I really do LOVE my kids?!?!?!

Why didn't anyone ever tell me that raising kids is not all it is cracked up to be...I think that I have had one of the most challenging weeks yet. I love my kids to death don't get me wrong but I really wanted to just run away from life this last week. All of you that don't have kids in school you just wait... trying to deal with the different personalities of the teachers and their teaching styles is enuf to drive me to drink....I don't think it would be so bad if I just had one in school to break me in but with the both of them I just want to scream!!! My Mom has been such a support to me with all the encouragement that everything will all work out. I got a call tonight from a really good friend that well just made me feel LOVED. Even though I didn't get to talk to her, I just got to listen the message she left and let me say that I just started to cry. Even now several hours later every time I think about what she said I still am tearing up.
Here is my challenge to anyone that my find themselves reading this...If you ever get that feeling that you should check on someone, don't delay you just never know what a difference it can make in someones day!!!

What I was doing 10 years ago?

I had just moved home from Maryland and was living with my parents. I had a job waiting for me at a restaurant that I had worked at before I had moved to Maryland 2 years earlier. Later that year I moved to Vancouver, WA to attend school and to get away from my frustrating life with boys. When I moved I had no intentions on dating. I was determined to focus on school. Well the first weekend after I move to WA I met Adam. We met at a dive of a dance club in Portland. We were all standing outside waiting in line to get in when I saw him. He had a T-shirt on for the NCAA Final four basketball tournament. The first thing I thought was WoW he must play awesome Basketball. Well we all made it into the club and my roommates and I were all just dancing and having a good time when he came up to me and asked me to dance. Why not right??? The song ended and I said well we are leaving and he piped up and said "This is a bad neighborhood, would you let my roommates and I walk you to your car." He asked me for my number and believe it or not he called me that night. We talked all night long and right then I knew he was the one. So I finished school as we dated and I told him that I really liked him but I am moving to Utah for a new job. He moved to SLC about 6 months later and we were married in September of 1998. That's right our 10 year anniversary is this year...hint...hint....Adam. 1998 was a good year for me.

5 things on my "to-do" list today...
1. Get up and get the kids to school. Oh ya and remember to feed them.
2. Put the laundry away...Ya that never happened...
3. Start my Taxes...I mean fix last years Taxes to get more money back :)
4. Go to the grocery store...That didn't happen either...

6. Apples and Dip. Thanks Michelle for the recipe

3 Bad habits...
1. I can't for the life of me keep the island in my kitchen cleaned off. Adam tries to help but his way is to shove it all in a box and put it in a closet
2. This one is gross but I am a scab picker and zit popper...
3. Never dusting until I see the kids have written their name on the TV or the entry way table.

If I were suddenly a billionaire I would...
1. travel, travel, travel but I would buy a ticket so I wouldn't have to worry if I'm going to get
on the plane.
2. Hire a maid to clean my mansion and fold the laundry.
3. Put plumbing in our family cabin so that I don't have to trapes through the snow to the outhouse to sit on a frozen seat in the middle of the night and so my Mom would enjoy going to the cabin.
4. Buy a house closer to family since I wouldn't have to work anymore.
5. Buy my husband a rusted out broke down 1967 Mustang so he can tinker around and fix it up like new.

4. Vancouver, WA
5. Rose Park, UT
6. West Valley, UT
7. West Jordan, UT
8. Kearns, UT
9.South Weber, UT

5 Jobs I've had…
1. Snack bar worker at the Golf Course
2. Produce and Bakery worker at a couple grocery stores
3. Dishwasher, Prep Cook, Hostess, Server at a restaurant
4. Nanny
5. Reservation Rep for Airline

5 Things people don't know about me...
I already gave these in a previous post so I won't bore you again.

I'm gonna get it!!!

Mason is really starting to roll all over the place. Adam told me yesterday while I was at work that he was starting to get his knees under him and trying to scoot. I will be so mad if I miss when he starts to crawl. He will be 7 months old on the 6th of March. I can't believe how fast time flies.

We went to Carson's birthday party last Saturday. The boy had a blast. We went to a play place in West Jordan on Redwood Road and about 80th south. They had a bunch of the blow up toys that they went crazy on. The twin's have their Bday coming up and I honestly can't believe they are going to be 7 years old. It seem like yesterday they were Mason's age.

Mason even got in on the action...

Kegan love to be the life of the party. He sure knows how to make his friends laugh!!!

I love the Mountains too...

One of my friends had asked "Do you ever get used to just seeing the mountains and the amazing sunsets here in Utah. All I have to say to that is ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! I grew up in Idaho and every morning I got up and went into the living room this is what I saw....

I will never forget one morning, I looked out the big picture windows and the sun was right behind the middle peak and it looked like there was a light bulb in the top of it. Everytime I go home as soon as we get close I am always looking for the Tetons. Believe it or not but they look completly different from the Wyoming side.
